Hiya peeps,

Some of you know me as that miserable get Matt from xxytalk.

I been here a few times in the past, as Canice has mentioned the site many times. Now I'm feeling more comfortable-ish with myself, I thought I would, come say heya properly.:wavey:

P.S :help: Can someone tell me how to I get my avatar to work?

Welcome Matt, err, Uncle Festa.

You can get the avatar to work very much the same as on the other site only this one does not allow animations. Check out where your avatar is and download it to the site, the button for that is waaaayyyy down below, almost the last item on the User CP Avatar settings.

Hello Matt,

If you click on "User CP", then on the left side of the screen under "Settings & Options" click on "Edit Avatar", you get the avatars screen. Slightly to the right there will be a section marked "Pre-defined Standard Avatars" which starts at the top with a Darwin-fish. At the bottom of that section you should see an avatar which is a crayon-colored picture, which is Uriela's avatar. She's fairly nice.

Just below that, there's another section called "Custom Avatar". Click on the circle which says "Use Custom Avatar". Below it there will be two text boxes, the upper one is for if you want to upload from a WWW url, type in a complete url for that. The lower one is if you want to upload a file directly from your computer, for this type in a full file name with path. Choose one or the other, and then click on the "Save Changes" button just below.

If none of this is present on your avatar screen, it might be disabled until after your 5'th post. I've forgotten if it works that way.

Oh, that's not good. At what point in the procedure did the directions stop working?
