I'm new here, I don't think I'm an I/S but I have wide hips, narrow shoulders, thin and short hands, weak chest, but otherwise a healthy and male appearance with hairy chest, face, hairy long legs and even slightly hairy back. I don't believe I have Marfan Syndrome. I always thought I was the only one in the world with such physique and for many years I suffered a limited social life, by now being able to enjoy beach life, not being able to swim, having to hide my physique under jackets or simply staying indoors and had slight problems in my love life as well with some women rejecting me, but not telling me why. How many times I wished that I was rather ugly, but had a normal male body with narrow hips and wide shoulders and a big chest. No clothes fit me well, I feel like a scarecrow. I don't feel I'm gay, I'm attracted to women only. Finally I found this thread and immediately I decided to create a yahoo group for Masaire Men.

I hope the moderator of this forum will not mind if I post this link overhere. I feel it is very important to unite such people as us, whom I just gave a new name: MASAIRE, which in Gaelic language means "wide-hipped man".

Please join our new group MASAIRE WORLD (please remove the spaces everywhere): http : // health . groups . yahoo . com / group / masaireworld /

I had a friend in the military, with wide hips, and often wondered about him, nice guy, friendly, but at the time all icould think, of was damn it, why can't i have hips like that. Would you happen to have red curly hair? Curiosity.

If an archeologist were determining your sex by your skeleton, they would not depend much on the width of your hips. They would also measure the height from bottom to top, the sub-pubic angle, and the shape of the pubic opening.

and you know, not having any hips kinda just sucks, just to let you know, my mother and sisters have no hips either. Now my nieces, that another story, it's funny when i listen to my sisters complain about their girls having hips, wearing skirts that are too flattering, when they would die to have a more womanly figure. Not that they don't, they are actually fairly attractive, just complain alot about not having a very femimine shape/curves.

Agreed, the hips are just one thing to look at, the first would be the skull (that one is generally very obvious and an extremely good indicator of sex), the thickness of your bones, etc...

now you know this intro thread I think was meant as an intro about men with wide hips, not so much about whether he was intersexed. Just thought it was interesting, made me think of a fellow soldier is all. On the semi-serious side, his description of his build is kinda interesting, and i'm just thinking, he could be intersexed. I would actually love to read more from 87drq34.

Thickness of bones is often open to individual and ethnic variations, as well as non-sex hormonal influences which would not otherwise reverse the subject's sex.

Skulls vary also, but there is one point of interest. The name of it eludes me at the moment, but right where the top vertebrae meets the base of the skull- on males there is always a shield of bone extending downwards from the bottom of the skull, protecting this junction. With females it is not present. This feature is relatively resistant to hormonal influences.

Again I guess we are getting off topic, but skulls may vary but the difference between a male and female skull is obvious if you know what you are looking for.

I have a cousin in law that has big hips. If you looked at her from the hips down you would think she was 400lbs. She has a waist about 16" so from the hips up you would think she was 90lbs. Is that the same thing. Is wide hips the same as big butt? I guess I would half to be there to understand.

Ah, so you're a forensics specialist now too. Got any head xrays of ais women? I'd be curious to do a comparison.
