If i could have gotton treatment to stop the virilization sooner, i would have. But my whole family (those that knew) lied (and continue to lie). mr. psychiatrist, i'm not a man. don't want to be a man. i know somthings wrong but i'm not shooting myself up with T. no, i don't want to be tranq';ed, i hardly drink at all (a sip of commnunion wine is not drinking) i just want to know why i keep passing out.....

Phenotype = what your body looks like
Genotype = what your genes are like

So I am CAIS.... completely insensitive to androgens (testosterone) ie my cells don't respond to androgens

PAIS.... partially insensitive to androgens (ie your body will respond a bit to androgens)

So inside, my cells say I'm male (genotype = XY chromosomes) but the Y chromosome doesn't work properly.... so although I had testicles, they stayed up inside my body where no-one can see them.

on the outside my body or "phenotype" looks female... well except I'm tall and look quite manly.... but that doesn't make me a transsexual... in my opinion... I didn't naturally look male on the outside and want to have surgery to look more female [nothing wrong with that choice but it just doesn't describe me ;0)].

I can't find it cause i'm slow, but you mentiojned somewhere about an over supply of testosterone and how you coped with it. Well I can do mthnat anytime I want to, I self inject T, so if I want to I can massively overdose if I want to. And when I get tired of having incomplete sex, knowing full well that an overdose will cause impotence initially, but also knowing nthat after a few days everything starts working again, properly, which can only be achieved if I have a large dose, waaaaaay above what my endo recommends or is happy with.

So from time to time I do overdose jst so I can enjoy sex every now and then. Definitely not good for my cholesterol but really good for my self esteem.

Who is calling Jos a transexual Maria? In fact I don't remember anyone calling you trans either. But from your past posts it is confusing you did make mention of switching sides more than once. But I'm no medical expert so what do I know. I do know that you are throwing around transsexuals as if they are a bad thing. So I guess being accused of being Trans has some personal attachment to you. Being Trans is not easy but it is also not a bad thing and they are not all bad people. But I won't bash one about the head if they use the word intersex either.

it makes them short (CAH causes precosious puberty... initially taller, but ultimately shorter) with small testis, though a larger than average phallus ;) the fella's hardly notice the difference (till they can't get there wives pregnant) because the net effect is not much of an increase for them.

us CAH gals, its a very different story. what for a man is a drop in the bucket, amounts to enough T for some of us to be completely virilized at birth (praeder 5). i was fortunate enough to escape that (if you consider a "reduction" less traumatizing than a complete clitorectomy) and to maintain that into puberty and adulthood without cortisol replacement therapy. that's just the body. Is that Andre's place? If so I was there for a short time but I couldn't figure out the system owing to a problem with the colours green and yellow, I'm nort colour blind I just have problem working out where one starts and the other ends and I just get a headache working it all out.

Why can't people who design these pages do so with the intent of making them easy to read? That blue with white text, I'm still suffering, I can hardly see, it's terrible. I like bland pastel colours, well my eyes do anyway.

Just stick to the current scientific definition of an intersex, using the biological, genetic and physiological guidelines. That way you can you can encompass all the known and proven intersex conditions that are out their.

because intersex is based on genetics and DNA based. So if we based on what's intersex and what's not by DNA, biology and physiology, I would be in their and their would be some more and some cut.

Take for example and you can ask Onnineko on this one. Their is a debate in the academic and scientific community to make Kallmann's syndrome intersex and to remove and delist Klinefeltners from intersex community because Klinefeltners is more male dominated than female dominated and Kallmann's being so rare..

too narrow in the sense that when most people use the word genetics and DNA in the same sentence as intersexed, the are speaking only of those genes and that DNA which can be found on the "sex" chromosomes.

by this definition, CAH's are not IS, because we have XX's and XY's with the "correct" number, and they work just fine. :)

OTOH, we do have faulty genes on our other chromosomes that cause some of us to virilize, and some to not completely masculinize (the former is extremely common, the latter... if they live past infancy, less than one in 100 MILLION.)

by this definition, CAH's are not IS, because we have XX's and XY's with the "correct" number, and they work just fine. :)

perhaps , but I think it's gotta be based on DNA Karyotype, Genetics, physiological and biological. It's gotta be based on a consensus from the medical, scientific and academic community.

Well first off Graeme is one of those that is pissing me off and trying to run me off. The other is he's calling me a poser and the fact that he insulted me and has called me many things.
