Hi,
My name is Jim Costich. I'm a 51yr. old intersexed man with ambiguous genitals who wasn't subjected to a forced gender assignment or genital surgery. At the time and in the location I was born it was not done. I grew up just fine and have had a good love life. Exotic isn't a turn off despite what some alarmists try to sell. I grew up to adopt and raise 2 handicapped kids in wheelchairs. In our family we don't consider physical variations or even limitations to make us "less than" other people.
I'd like to recommend this video to you. It's about a young couple whose new baby has 6 perfect fingers and 6 perfect toes on each hand and foot. It runs on Dad's side of the family and he had 6th finger nubs on his hands but some Doctor cut them off. Needless to say he is not going to consider doing that to his baby, nor would Mom. I hope this video can help you explain to those people who "dont get it" that intersexed children are fine the way they are.

Best wishes,
