Thank you for writing me back.

Thank you for clearing up the first post where you wrote.....11b all tend to overproduce corticosteriods to the second post .....overproduction of 11 deoxycortisol as this made more sense to me.

If my memory serves me correctly, 11 hydroxylase is the last stop on the endocine pathway before the conversion to cortisol. My medical records from the 70's stated it was a partial block.

I've talked with a person with late onset CAH that went without medical except in times of stress like surgery or the holidays.

I've traced fom research 11b all the way back to the Atlas Mountains in Northen Africa 134 bc or something like that.

I don't talk with parents as they want their little girl to be happy about genital surgery and give then a grandkid.

Gender is just an act for me.

Sorry that I interupted the thread but thank you for clearing up my question with a second post.

The real reason why i love BLO so much is that here you can get answers that those medical text books wont actually say. lol

Most medical literature in print is great explaining 21 hsd, but crap concerning all other forms. It takes time to find additional information that is relavent.

Think i ran across a link for 17B that has a good 15+? variations all within the 17 b hsd. that can affect different hormones. Might of been more actually. I'' see if i can find it again. honestly I am real crappy about links, I find some out of the blue that are great and forget to bookmark them, then can't find again for awhile.

anyways I just hope what i wrote earlier made some sense, basically for many variations of CAH, overproduce something because something else is bieng blocked/interferred with but some people do manage allright most of the time. I know I am fine for the most part. I do have issues during surgery and serious illness, ie: Upper Respiritory Infection, and a hard time doing anything these days during the hottest time of the day, Summer, I do not handle the heat very well anymore. Some colds, flu, hits me a bit harder then other people, im down a few more days then they are. i also know I am not the only one affected by CAH in my family, most though don't want to know or care but it s really funny listening to them complain about crap, and then ignore their symptoms over and over again. ie they won't get checked out and ignore their symptoms.

Sometimes ignorance is bliss, and sometimes ignorance is just idiotic. Apparently my family runs big on idiocy, I do hope yours is better.
