View Full Version : Hormonal Pregancy Tests, a European DES?
Hi,
I have posted a report about the Hormonal Pregnancy Test scandal in Europe in the Media/Press section. Among other things, HPTs seem to have caused "genital malformations":

(I'm not allowed to post links yet, you need to add www)
My mother was treated with HPT during pregnancy and I have malformations of bone structure, my heart is moved and I have massive problems with hormones and cycle that can't be diagnosed properly. I'm trying to get medical support but this proves difficult (see report). No research was done on the longterm effects of HPTs, that's why I started researching myself. I wonder if the longterm effects of DES are comparable.
Does one of you have contact to a doctor or scientist/specialist on DES that I could ask?
Thanks
Mikan

[QUOTE=Mikan;20278]Hi,
I have posted a report about the Hormonal Pregnancy Test scandal in Europe in the Media/Press section. Among other things, HPTs seem to have caused "genital malformations":
>>> Can you describe the test please? in the states, a pregnancy test is simply dipping a test strip into ones urine in a cup to detect HCG... nothing gets into a woman's body. Its completely safe and highly accurate. false positives are more common than false negatives, and usually indicate a tumour. Why would europe use any other method? <<<
Sorry that I didn't reply earlier-
The hormonal pregnancy tests were used before the other methods were invented, until about the 1970s. Mostly, you gave a woman some hormones, and if that caused bleeding, she wasn't pregnant. If it didn't cause bleedings she was pregnant and that's where the problems began. The hormone dosage was high and might have caused severy health problems in the infant. It was also used for illegal abortions. As I said before, the hormones caused intersexuality in primates (in tests) and are also rumored to have caused the same in humans.

>>> too busy makin stuff up. <<<
[quote=Mikan;22965]DES really seemes to be similar to the Hormonal Pregnancy Tests (HPT) that were used in Europe until the early 1980s.
>>> [quote=Mikan;22966]I have reposted the information because the old thread expired.
>>> and i'm still trying to understand how pills could be passed off as a hormone pregnancy test, when this is patently false.
all post 1950 pregnancy tests either required a woman to give a sample of her urine... which was then tested for HCG... a hormone her body produces without any help from pills, or her blood if there was any doubt.
please stop posting this SPAM

This Maria is nothing but a poser and a Nazi so pay this THING no mind and ignore her and her attacks.
A simple GOOGLE search can tell that the drugs that you are talking about do cause birth defects. I don't know about them being used as pregnancy tests because I did not research that deeply but I did see where they were given to pregnant women and have caused problems.
I recommend other members here do your own Google search on this subject and form your own opinion then discuss your thoughts RESPECTFULLY and POLITELY if this subject interests you.
Nazi...go away!
Dear Maria,
Sorry for answering only now.
It is really true, they used these tests all over Europe until the early 1980s. The tests weren't allowed in the US. They are still used in some poorer countries, mostly for illegal abortions (using a higher dosage). Right now, people in Germany and England are starting a lawsuit against the producers Schering/Bayer to demand that they get the papers, which are still hidden in their archives. Many of the victims have hypospadias or other genital problems. It is also said to cause "masculinisation of female genitalia" in the embryo, together with other health problems.
here's a new report in English http://www.cbgnetwork.org/3439.html
Here is a TV report about the lawsuit in German, WARNING: the films shows photo of the child's health problems.

The child is now an adult, Andre Sommer. He started the lawsuit and is very brave to do so as Bayer is one of the most powerful firms in the world. It became possible because of a change in German law two years ago that forces pharmacy firms to reveal their papers to potential victims.
here's a link list with texts about these tests. Lots of english texts:
