Has any one considering trying to have reconstructive to fix what they broke. I had my surgery back in 1971. And needless to say I do not near feeling in my clitoris that partner has. Has any one went back under the knife in hopes of more feeling?

Thanks,

Yes, I recently posted a link in another thread to a Newsweek article - "The Kindest Cut", which explores French innovations in restoring genital sensation for women who have had female genital mutilation. Sorry that I don't have the link immediately available, but it should be easy to find.

Great Question.

Honesty I think that some of us who chose to reassign to correct previous mistakes are in our own way, doing exactly what you are asking.

While several people within the intersex community have a hard time understanding why anyone would want more surgery, I do think it is common enough for those like myself who can't accept what has allready been done.

I actually have a I.S. Hero, Max Beck that I look up too and it is odd when someone else within our own community mentions something foolish like an intersex person will not reassign, as no intersex person wants to be a transsexual. I swear that is a odd statement, because none of us think exactly alike always.

We are a community of people with many different conditions and how each of us thinks about ourselves will always vary from one person to another.

I have read of others as adults who have chosen additional surgery's too correct smaller cosmetic issues. I think each person who does have an issue if they want too, they will do so.
