I find all the gender stuff cool. I embrace most everything both genders have to offer just like my genitals that were wacked off for a very necessary reason but I just couldn't help to throw that in.

I 've been wondering if cancer and/or hormone disruption is higher in people with intersex conditions? I'm thinking along the lines of Endometrual Hyperplasia that may lead to uterine cancer or with all the blood from Endometrual Hyperplasia make it harder for other types of cancers to be detected.

For example, if someone was born with higher androgens but it was brought under control with medication that although is needed in times of physical illness still might though disrupt the bodies balance of estrogen/progesterone that it was equipped for and may be a factor in causing estrogen dominate cancers and/or hormone trouble because now the estrogen is really unopposed. Sorry, if any of this sounds stupid and maybe some of you more intelligent people can expand on what I've written and tell me that I'm way off but I've been wondering about this and this is hard to track because in general there isn't a lot of people with intersex conditions.

I'm doing good after the radiation and chemo. The radiation actually made the clitorectomy look a little better....go figure on that one! lol

GEE, I don't know. I myself have often wondered if I was at a greater cancer

risk myself. You are a very brave soul, and I very proud and impressed that

you have such a postive attitude though your cancer. My spanish teacher

had breast cancer and she has told me all about her battles. She used her

stomach fat to replace the breast but it was a very painfull surgery and she

has big scars from it and she can only lift so much now. She now does breast

cancer awareness.

Yes I did share with her my secret. I hope things go well.

I often wonder If I have a bigger risk for bone loss or heart attack.

It makes you wonder doesn't it? When peoples hormones are tinkered with things happen. I know one doctor that actually might be truthful with me on the subject but I'll have to get him drunk on shots of yagermister first.

That was an interesting question Aimee. I wonder if there is a high risk of cancer for those who still have their undeveloped ovaries and uterus. I was told to remove them but declined hoping that a miracle would occur and they would suddenly develop or become functional . Anyways, I feel fine so far. Had pap smears up till 2001. Still trying to secure medical insurance......it costs so much money to see the doctor here..........might have to start on HRT as i think I may have oestoporosis. I have shrunk from a 6 footer to 6' 10". It would be interesting to hear from others about this.

I suppose you meant 5' 10. You could ask someone to take an x-ray of your spine to see if you have scoliosis or if the distance between your vertebrae is becoming smaller. I've lost 0,8" in about 10 years due to some damaged intervertebral discs.

:teeth_smi Whoops....Thanks for correcting that Sofie...5'10" it is. It would appear that we need to be more aware of our condition so that we are able to maintain good health. Thanks. Nina

I just came back from a doctor's appt (routine physical) and found out I've gotten shorter from 6'1'' in 2001 to 5'10" now. I haven't been seeing my regular doctorfor quite some time, and in fact, cancelled the last 2 "physicals" (as I did 2 appts with the endo) so just only today they measured my height since then. She scheduled a bone scan for me, and I hope the insurance covers it this time....they refused 3 yrs ago. I thought my blood pressure would be high, because I was nervous this morning, but it was ok (current meds are working, plus I've been losing weight....helps)....I'm always nervous going to doctor's offices, not because of my current doctors (they're nice to me), ......anyway, won't go into that further...just glad the appt is over with.....was nervous already yesterday and couldn't sleep too well last night because of the "anticipation"......whew!...tonight I go home and buy me some ice cream and cake to celebrate

Good for you Dana  I am into the non-fat stuff myself and my favorite is fat-free strawberry ice-cream with bananas. Deliciously sinful  Would love to hear what the results of your scan was with regards to the reduction of your height, because that appears to be the case with me.......not that it bothers me...if non-medical...losing a few inches and everywhere else for that matter would be great. Have a nice day. :wave1:

non-fat stuff myself

My favorite "ice cream" (I bought before) is actually Vanilla non-fat yoghurt with raspberry sherbet swirl. .....the "cake", not exactly lo-cal, will be strawberry cheesecake.......... :tounge_sm

Losing a few inches off the side and top (and bottom :wink_smil ) is ok with me, too, as long it's not something bad.

If you ever feel like splurging...try this (my own creation) recipe:

Fried Banana ‘Anydae’

Ingredients ( per 1 serving ):

One banana, not overly ripe (brown spots ) or under ripe (green skin )

Krustaez Blueberry pancake mix enough for 1 cup batter mix

Mixed Berry ice cream OR Mixed Berry frozen yogurt

Fresh strawberries, 3-4 medium size

Canola or Olive oil

Blueberry, Boysenberry or Strawberry pancake syrup

Directions:

Prepare batter as directed for pancake mix, let sit for awhile to get lumps out and refrigerate until mix is cool (about ˝ hour ).

Cut banana edgewise to get oblong slices, about ˝ inch thickness.

Dip banana slices in cool pancake batter and fry as you would pancakes until batter is golden brown in non-stick pan with enough layer of oil to cover ˝ of banana slices. Blot off extra oil with paper towel and let cool slightly so banana slices are not too hot for next step.

Place fried banana-cakes on smoothened ( flat surface ) bed of ice cream or yogurt in large flat ( soup ) bowl.

Circle the banana portions with sliced strawberries all the way around.

Pour a light layer of your choice syrup over banana-cakes.

ENJOY! :tounge_sm

Got you a fancy fritter going there. Sounds great. I’ll have to try it also. How does it go with beer ?...LOL
By the way I noticed you use a lot of German looking words. Would the translation be suitable for younger ears?
