Creating Change is in November and is being held in Portland Oregon this year.

Bodies has a proposal in for a workshop that if accepted will be conducted in cooperation with ISNA. Depending on whether we are accepted and the format/time allotment we are given, the presenters will then be determined. At this point, it will be myself, Dandara, and Cheryl Chase. That is subject to change with additions however. It's really dependent upon how much time they give us.

The plan is to unveil the almost completed (and maybe done) protocol that ISNA has been tirelessly working on for the past couple of years. It's a complete package with information for doctors, and most importantly, information and a video for parents. Attendees will go away with action items on getting the word out about the package.

I, for one, am looking forward to doing a workshop that is not an Intersex 101 as so many of our workshops often are.

As Victoria mentioned, you can get more information from the

Nat'l Gay and Lesbian Taskforce (http://www.ngltf.org)

Even if we don't have our proposal accepted, Dandara and I will still be in attendance. However, I am confident it will be accepted.

If you can't make Creating Change, there are other workshops coming up, including Atlanta next month at Southern Comfort, PFLAG next month in Columbus, OH, a genderqueer youth conference in January (I think) in Hartford, CT, and Transcending Boundaries in November. Glenn also has a proposal to present at the Lavender Law conference in Philly which is in October I think. (Glenn, correct me if I am wrong). If he gets accepted, I'll likely scoot down there for the day but you would definitely want to go to meet Glenn if you live in the area.

I'm pretty sure that is all right now, but new events are always being added. I try to put them into the calendar as they get scheduled. There is also a big health conference this week and weekend in Boulder. Esther, the moderator in the MRKH area is there, as is Cheryl Chase and others. If you are in that area and want more information, visit ISNA (http://www.isna.org). There is a link on there for it.

Yes, I've got a proposal in to Lavendar Law, which is in Philly in October.
And I just got presenter application info for PrideFest next Spring, so I'll propose the same kind of presentation for that too and see what happens. Nothing like an audience in the 100,000+ range to increase awareness!
