PM's--private messages

Hi everyone,

If you use the private messaging part of your membership, please be sure to keep the number of messages pared down. I have the limit set at 70 and several people are getting dangerously close to it. The limit of 70 includes storage of sent mail so you may just want to delete the sent items if you want to keep the ones you received. If you hit 70, you won't be able to receive any more until you do some housecleaning.

OK...so at Victoria's urging, I have upped the PM capacity to 100 messages. That total includes your sent messages. I can't really go above that as we'll end up with some performance issues that will make the load time for each user slow down, and that will be a real issue for those on slower dial-up connections. Please try to keep your stored messages to a minimum, particularly your sent ones. One option I can do, but would rather not would be to set the default setting to not keep sent messages. I think you all know how I feel about doing stuff like that, so it's a low priority option for me. If you all think that they may be a solution, then let me know. If enough people are okay with not keeping sent messages (you'll be able to opt in to keep them in your control panel) I'll make that change. Let me know.
