You see, my girlfreind told me she was a hermaphrodite. I have no ideas what it is, and was hoping you might tell me. Me and her are pretty serious and was wondering if it might cause any possible problems in the future.

Well to be honest with such an elaborate description of Hermaphrodites I got totally confused myself! I would have appreciated something that would describe the term rather easily and in short! I have always felt an urge to keep myself updated about the various sexual issues, so that I dont suffer like many others who are just too shy to describe sex related matters with others. There is utmost importance to remain abreast with these things to avoid future problems! So hope you wouldnt mind to explain the same in somewhat easy fashion!

For example, while the feminine shemales of AIS syndrome lust after men, the women so clumsily alterred to equip them for penis entry, may simply prefer other women.

As a forum moderator, I have received a formal complaint about tiadesai's long post above. The passage that I have quoted is an example of what is so highly offensive about the post. As tiadesai repeatedly refers to intersex people by using third person pronouns; I really wonder if tiadesai is intersex her/himself. I am further horrified that this post was apparently given as a public talk because it refers to images which are being projected, presumably before an audience. I wonder where this talk was given, and who was the audience for it? I suggest that if anyone out there is looking for a public speaker on intersex issues, that it is best to contact an intersex organization, such as ISNA or Bodies Like Ours. An intersex perspective can make all the difference in the effectiveness and accuracy of public education.
Also, as a shameless plug for BLO, I can say that our ED, Betsy Driver, is a great public speaker.

Was plagiarized off another website (which probably plagiarized it as well). I did a simple search on a phrase which brought up the plagiarism. As a result, both the post itself and the poster have been removed.

We take pains not to censor here, but plagiarism will always be removed as will the person who posts it.

Angel_partner]You see, my girlfreind told me she was a hermaphrodite. I have no ideas what it is,

>>> the tough part, is that she may not know either. "true" hermaphodites are quite rare (though we certainly have a few here at BLO) "psuedo" hermaphrodism though, is actually fairly common if you lump us all together... though even that term is as out-dated and offensive to most (though not all) of us, as calling an African-American a "darkie". <<<

and was hoping you might tell me.

>>> if you care to wander about this site a bit, you will find that someone has posted a detailed description of each type of intersexed condition, including the less common ones. <<<

Me and her are pretty serious and was wondering if it might cause any possible problems in the future.

>>> depends on what you consider a problem. some of us are fertile, others are not. some have sexual difficulties, others do not.

We are first and foremost... human.

All humans have the capacity to give and receive love.

If you love her, then it doesn't matter that's she's different.

Because we are ALL different. If you had fallen for a woman who was not intersexed... she'd be different too...

She might be a different Race. a different Color. She might like vanilla instead of chocolate.

I think your girlfriend's biggest problem is you.
