I hear that amphibians are pretty fluid about sex compared to mammals (remember Jurassic Park?), but in this case they're getting a helping hand from pollution...

Thanks for sharing that Glenn. I'm beginning to think that enviromental links to sexual differenciations will be one of the hot topics in the next few years. Already, there is some research going on linking estrogens in the waste water stream being linked to intersexed fish downstream from water treatment plants. Also, there are some doctors beginning to see a link with enviromental hormones and early puberty within the human population. If you visit the main area of Bodies and click on research, there's some information in there about it.

I recall some stories fairly recently about how some girls are hitting puberty very early now (age 8 or 9), and they think hormones in food (such as the beef in McDonalds burgers) is helping to trigger it.
Does gray hair count for early retirement.
Just a thought.

If it does, then I am way overdue because I have way too many grey hairs making their presence known.
Naw...never mind. I want to to someday be remembered as that old, grey-haired woman who keeps banging the intersex drum.
