Slightly over a week before halloween, a couple of days before what my father's birthday would be if he weren't dead, he made an unwelcomed appearance in my dreams. Multiple copies of him came back from the grave, each of them at a different age that I knew him. Including a teenager and a child who I never knew, but I guess that was just my subconcious projecting him further backwards.
One of the copies was apparently watching the cuban missile crisis on a very old-fashioned tv which had a cabinet that looked like pinewood. I've seen that tv set before in another dream, the one that turned out to probably be a view of 1yr. I turned to watch the screen, and there was an aerial view of a surfaced submarine. Near the bottom of the screen, there was a message being flashed, which said "for more information, request national security document" and then gave a long number, of which I could only remember the first 6 letters or so.
The dream ended, and nothing really mattered. He was really bad while he was alive, and he's not a welcome part of my imagination. I did a web search on the part of the number I could remember, and yahoo came back with a hit from some military website that I'm not allowed to access. The summary of on the search results page said it had something to with records at Guantonimo Bay in Cuba ... (which is strange, to say the least)
I doubt that my father was a spy or anything (giggle) The closest he ever came to national security was that he once dated the daughter of the local german ambassador. He never said if that was west german, or east ...
Oh well, another wasted posted, because silence sucks.
