If you're ever travelling america, the chesapeake bay bridge offers a beautiful view, enough to inspire awe in young children. A single long and awefully thin road set scarily high above the waters below, and you could see tiny looking small boats passing underneath.
Is it as high as the Capillano Bridge in British Columbia ?

Hiya Andre,
I honestly did not know the answer, because I've never been to BC and I don't remember anyone telling me how high the chesapeake bridge was when we drove over it. So I had to look it up.
The capilano bridge is 136m long by 70m high, and the chesapeake bridge is 7km long by 60m high. So I guess capilano wins.
I guess they built a second chesapeake bridge back in '73. I think that spoils the effect, but I guess they needed it for traffic. Makes me feel old.

i've seen pics of the Chesapeake bridge, but I guess I have a soft spot for the Mackinaw Bridge here in Michigan, which is another amazing view.....

I guess for me the cheseapeke bridge has more personal relevance than just the view. I've felt as though it was like the Bridge of Sighs, being the condemned child's last view of freedom before being taken to surgery in Baltimore.
