Why can't I make a response?

I can only post and not respond to any post because it says I'm still new and have to wait until I have at least 5 post before I can respond even to the threads that I create.

This is kind of defeats the purpose of creating a thread if you can't respond to what people are saying to you. It's like only being able to say Hi and not say anything else.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I do think that if you create a thread or introduce yourself, you should at least be able to say thank to the persons who respond. Otherwise it's like that person may think your just a person passing by and not really looking to make a connection. I feel like I'm being forced to stay silent until I've proven that I exist.

you should be able to post as long as your logged in. I think the only limitations for a new member is putting in links. You should be able to comment on all the threads as long as you are logged into the server.
