Hi there!

Perhaps you´re already familiar with this, but in case you´re not, this made me quite mad. Here the support group talk about bi or homosexuality in terms of an insecurity of exposing their genitals to men. WHAT??! If this is supposed to be a SUPPORT group, then how about all the bi- or homosexual intersexed who visit this site and get this shit thrown in their face! GRRR!

Quote from the ahn.org.uk support group page/site:

"Many women with CAH have successful heterosexual relationships, though for some finding a partner is difficult.
There are some women with CAH who are more comfortable with bisexual and homosexual relationships but this may in some cases, have more to do with their concerns about the formation of their genitalia, with feelings of vulnerability and apprehension of a sexual relationship with men. The main point to remember is that if a woman has established heterosexual feelings, there is nothing about CAH that will change this, even if the testosterone levels rise from time to time. "

I agree with you Ana on this. There is quite a bit of questionable material out there that seems to be written more the comfort of 'fearful' parents than for what adults need. It's one of the reasons this site exists.
