A MAJOR (doh) upgrade has been done on the forums, as you can tell. Obviously, the customization to make it "home" is still outstanding and i am working on that as we speak.

During the upgrade, I lost some avatars. I will try and get those replaced. However, the good news is that you should be able to upload your own now.

The smilies etc also will be replaced/fixed.

The good is that the forum has much more function. The bad news is it has a LOT of function. Play with it---you won't break it. And don't ask me "how" as my learning curve is akin to yours.

You can now add your own custom avatar. Please note the size restriction of 100x100 pixels.
Betsy

It was a long rainy afternoon, so thank you for noticing. I'll be doing some cosmetic issues over the next few days so thing may look different at times and possibly you'll get some error codes like occurred today while I did the upgrade.

Thanks Betsy for the great new updated look to the forum. Your work is most impressive. It's been a few hours now, so I am no longer rubbing my eyes in amazement. I agree with Dana that all your great work for Bodies takes time and money, so I plan on visiting the on-line donations area soon.

Coming soon...

Chat? We had a chat room previously that no one used and I cancelled it because it cost money. I'm looking at something that is free and integrates well with this script.

Let me know if there is interest.

RSS feeds...they'll be placed in the upper right corner. Basically, this will be a news feed of items of interest. If you have a fee aggregator on your desktop, you will also be able to syndicate this forum...that is, very new post will show up on your desktop. That will happen once I figure out how to do it.

This has only come up once or twice before (thanks, Glenn!). The new version allows you to upload attachments such as photos etc. Please be kind to the bandwidth.

Hi all ,
" Great bodies like ours redux "
been off line but by choice and few other reasons.
went on vacation last month , what a riot that was.
Went to the beach, 558 miles to the southeast.
Had to find a new ISP, but I am back now and ready for some
conversation.
Betsy by the way what is a group? your site mentions groups.
groupie?

Public groups are like sub-community groups off the main member one. Kinda like a block party...you may live in your town, but your block would be a public group in that town. I don't have them enabled because I couldn't think of a good reason to. If there are ideas for it, my ears are wide open.

Betsy

PS...glad you had a good vacation!

Getting an pop-up error message (this is dependent upon your browser and your browser settings)? The little scripting syntax problem I inadvertantly introduced has been fixed. I made a slight change to the nav bar area and left in a small typo (extra character---damn that cut and paste from notepad)

Well, I step away for a few weeks, and the whole place is different! It may take some getting used to, but I think I like it for the most part.

One thing I see that I don't like however, is how the posts don'e give the date they were posted anymore. That "3 weeks ago", "2 weeks ago" crap is too vague for me.

Other than that, I can't say much for the moment. I may have more comments as I get to know the changes that have been made. But overall, I'm sure most of any further comments I end up making should be positive.

OK...I've changed the time/date stamp per your suggestion---which was a good one. I had noticed that something wasn't quite right but until you mentioned it, didn't quite figure out what it was.
