Call for Papers— Intersex Symposium and Special Issue on Intersexuality, Winter 2005 Please redistribute widely. The call is now closed. Please check back soon for a schedule of events and list of presenters. The Women's Law Journal of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and Bodies Like Ours is pleased to present a day long symposium on intersexuality, tentatively scheduled to be held in New York City on February 23, 2005. The proceeds of the symposium will be published in a special issue of the Cardozo Women's Law Journal. The symposium will bring together a multi-disciplinary group of scholars, legal and medical practitioners, and intersex advocates. We are seeking abstracts or letters of interest for participation in the symposium, by no later than October 25, 2004. The deadline for the special issue of the journal will be set soon. Legal scholars and practitioners, medical and mental health professionals, and intersex advocates are especially encouraged to submit abstracts or letters of interest. Please submit your letter of interest and/or abstract directly to Julie Zando-Dennis, Editor-In-Chief of the CWLJ to the address listed below. The Cardozo Women's Law Journal recently celebrated its twentieth year as a pioneering publisher of gender-related legal issues. Interdisciplinary in outlook, the journal publishes three issues per year on a diverse cross-section of topics. Recent publications have included articles on the legal implications of reproductive technology and bio-engineering, rape as a war crime, and gender discrimination in insurance coverage. In 2004, CWLJ published "Privacy Rights in a Post-Lawrence World: Responses to Lawrence v. Texas." CWLJ's next special issue will be on Intersex legislation and public policy activism. CWLJ is an exciting forum for feminist legal discourse and encourages submissions of scholarly work for both the symposium and special issue. Please send abstracts and/or articles in Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect format, either by e-mail or regular mail to the following addresses: Julie Zando-Dennis Editor-in-Chief Cardozo Women's Law Journal 55 Fifth Avenue New York, NY 10003 To contact Bodies Like Ours about the symposium, please write us at info@bodieslikeours.org.
