Dr. Joyce Brothers writes about intersex

Dr. Joyce Brothers, a King Features syndicated  columnist and psychologist devoted a column to intersex on April 20, 2005.  Ask Dr. Brothers is distributed to 175 newspapers.

It came on the heels of a reader submitted question that inquired about "a third sex".  That question and the subsequent follow-up put Dr. Brothers squarely on the side of the intersex advocacy movement. She advocated against surgery, saying that those without surgery tend to be better adjusted and happier as adults and mentioning the intersex advocacy movement and our role in seeking change.
