This news article doesn't say much, in fact it is perhaps as "ambiguous" as the child:

"has both the organs male and a female organs.......as the child looked more like a male" ...how could this child look "more male"!?

"We decided to do away with female organs"....."do away with" !?...that's a rather "descriptive way" of putting it!
