Have a personal website you would like us to link to?

A section of personal websites has been added to our links section. Folks who are members of the BLO online community who have a personal site can have their site listed. Send the link along and as long as your site isn't porn, or advocating anything illegal, we will add a link for you.

Hi Betsy,

Was wondering if my MSN group, Support Network for Endocrine Conditions http://groups.msn.com/SupportNetworkforEndocrineConditions could be included in your links. It is mainly for those without a concrete diagnosis who don't have a condition-specific support group.

Thanks

Done. I put it under a new category I created called "Miscellaneous and Unsorted Links".

Thanks for the suggestion. If anyone has any sites to recommend, just post them or send them to me.

Thanks Betsy. Good sites are also:-

http://www.climb.org.uk
This is Children Living with Inherited Metabolic Disease and it also incorporates a Climb CAH Support Group. It is a charity based in Crewe, Cheshire, England and holds conferences twice a year throughout the UK. It was originally called the Research Trust for Metabolic Disease in Children - now it is more of an information and resource centre but it also has a Befrienders network for specific conditions.

http://www.pituitary.org.uk
This is the Pituitary Foundation and is another charity in the UK based in Bristol, England. It also holds conferences usually every 2 years which are an excellent opportunity to meet other patients, but also medical professionals in the field of endocrinology. It has a UK national network of local support groups which meet regularly.

It would be great if you could also put these up too, Betsy. They have both been incredibly helpful to my family and I, and I have attended a number of their conferences, the last of which were held in Edinburgh, Scotland, in September last year for Climb, and in April last year at Reading University in England for the Pituitary Foundation.

Many thanks once again,

Hi, sorry to be a pest but please could you add in your brief description of the above:-

(N.B. Please note this site is under construction).

Thanks

P.S Wish I was an expert on web-design...the MSN group sites are not all that user-friendly. BLO is wonderfully user-friendly and extremely professionally set up. I hope to eventually get something nice and professional-looking, but need to find some way of funding things first...ie., some kind of job that will take into account all mine and my children's constant health appointments.. :osigh:
