^Girlfriend in recliner not noticed dead for two days

EXCEL, Ala. (AP) A south Alabama man told police he noticed his father's blanket-covered girlfriend in a recliner hadn't moved for two days, but didn't realize she was dead.
John Tucker Jr. called police in Excel on Wednesday after he finally looked underneath the blanket and discovered that Mary McAreavy, 57, had been shot.
Police charged his father, John P. Tucker, 48, in the slaying. He had told his son McAreavy had passed out from drinking.
``It's an oddball thing,'' said Larry Ikner, an investigator with the Monroe County district attorney's office, ``but that's the way it happened.''
Investigators said the couple argued, and Tucker shot his girlfriend three times in the torso with a rifle on Monday. He covered her body with a blanket except for her head.

The son (and actually all of these people) must have been drunk for days off of some high-octane moonshine, to be able to ignore the "body changes" associated with a corpse; or else the son looked and/or smelled the same.
Domestic violence and murder usually have alcohol or drugs about........terrible, terrible.

Man eats own penis

Philippines - A man ended up in a southern Philippines hospital on Monday after severing and then eating his own penis, hospital officials said.
Ernesto Almonte, 40, was in stable condition at the Zamboanga City Medical Centre, emergency room staff said.
They could not confirm a report by local radio station DXRG that the bizarre act was triggered by an erectile dysfunction problem.
Asked about the patient's mental state, one staff member said: "If you cut your sex organ and then eat it, then something is wrong with you."

PERU - Apparently petitions and protest demonstrations aren't good enough for this Peruvian man. Laborer Eduardo Velez Alejos, 36, sliced off one of his testicles to protest his low wages when guards outside the Lima building refused to let him speak to President Carlos Ferrero Costa. This is not the only instance that Alejos has taken harm to his genital area for the sake of proving a point. Just last year he reportedly chopped off his penis in protest at not having a job. His penis had been successfully reattached, however, this time doctors failed to reattach the severed testicle during emergency surgery. Still, doctors say that Velez can maintain "a normal sex life."
==========================================================
Based on a bet by the other members of his threesome, Mr. Everitt Sanchez tried to wash his own "balls" in a ball washer at the local golf course. Proving once again that beer and testosterone are a bad mix, Sanchez managed to straddle the ball washer and dangle his scrotum in the machine. Much to his dismay, one of his buddies upped the ante by spinning the crank on the machine with Sanchez's scrotum in place, thus wedging them solidly in the mechanism.
Sanchez, who immediately passed his threshold of pain, collapsed and tumbled from his perch. Unfortunately for Sanchez, the height of the ball washer was more than a foot higher off the ground than his testicles are in a normal stance, and the scrotum was the weakest link. Sanchez's scrotum was ripped open during the fall, and one testicle was plucked from him forever and remained in the ball washer, while the other testicle was compressed and flattened as it was pulled between the housing of the washer, and the rotating machinery inside.
To add insult to injury, Sanchez broke a new $300.00 driver that he had just purchased from the pro shop, that he was using to balance himself. Sanchez was rushed to the hospital for surgery, and the remaining threesome were asked to leave the course.

Ya'all are killing me with those articles they kept a grin on my face for quite a while. Humm…Is there a running theme here? Funny about things like this, girls laugh and boys grimace. I wonder if that is a start to my what is gender question?
Ps... Thanks Dana and Besty for the redneck hillbilly pokes...LOL
There's actually a point behind my daily penis news stories. I have the word "penis" as a google bookmark to send me all stories with the word penis on them.
The point is, many men (we will call "normal" men for lack of a better term")have a strange relationship with their penis and testicals--whether they love it or hate it. Ironically, it's a big reason for sex reassignment in boys born with a micropenis--he can't be a "real man" with a little penis that may be inadequate for "penetration" which ignores the fact that often the best part of sex isn't from that. Same with hypospadius--most hypospadius surgery is done so the kid can stand to pee, "just like a real man" or for adequate (penetration) heterosexual reproductive sex.
As a result of that relationship, "normal" men frankly, do some odd things with theirs. I've never seen such outrageous stories involving women, "normal" or not.

And in that story women definitely are involved:
...according to rumor, a maid found the bodiless member at the crime scene and saved it. During the 1920s a group of Russian women living in Paris acquired it (or acquired something that they believed to be his penis) and worshipped it as a kind of holy relic, while keeping it inside a wooden casket. Rasputin's daughter, Marie, didn't like the idea of her Dad's penis hanging out with these women, so she demanded the thing back. And it presumably stayed with her until she died in California in 1977.
Yikes!!!!

A lot of male humans make a direct correlation between penis size (sexual prowess) and degree of "manhood". As has been noted by previous posters: the notion that the "penis makes the man" seems evidently true as Betsy's above post points out.....and consequently a "real" penis makes a "real" man (with real = normal ). A few weeks ago, I posted a link to a book entitled "Eve's Seed". The concept of the penis being the "symbol" of maleness seems to have a historical agenda grounded in the view that the male is superior by virtue of "creative powers" is exemplified below in an excerpt from the link (the book) below it.
The second master metaphor that has shaped the human experience since before recorded history began is one that proved to be all but irresistible after plow agriculture began. The apparent analogy of a seed being planted in furrowed soil to a male’s "planting" of semen in the vulva of a female led to the conclusion that men provide the seed of new life and women constitute the soil in which that seed grows. This metaphor is a central part of what was the most consequential and far-reaching mistake in human history: the idea that men are solely responsible for procreation. This monumental error, which I call the "Conception Misconception," has had profound effects on all of recorded history and continues to plague us today, centuries after we learned for sure that it is an error. The seed metaphor reversed the apparent positions of the sexes in regard to procreative power. What had always appeared to be a principally female power was transformed into an entirely male power. No longer apparent bystanders in reproduction, men now claimed to be the reproducers, while women were reduced from the seeming creators to the soil in which men’s creations grow:
In one of my older college microbiology texts (copyright 1970) it had an illustration from an anatomy/biology book from the eight or seven-teenth century that showed a tiny human being encased in the head of a sperm. The prevailing notion was that the male "seed" held the entire future human being, and was the "creator" of such life....the womb was merely the "carrier" of the male's progeny from the "fountain of life"....the penis.

Okay, okay, so call me a feminist.....actually I am not now deriding men, merely showing another fallacy of the social evolution that humankind has regarded (and socially enforced) as a reality.......a side effect of the above concept having been and still is this "fascination" and male attachment with their penises (and testicles).....not so much that it is just another body part, but in many males, their foundation for their entire being (physically and psychologically).... and notwithstanding intellect, social status, psyche, and health , the penis for these males is the "barometer" and indicator of their worth as human beings.....penis status = the man's status. I've even known male humans who identify totally with it, give it affectionate names etc. (PS: In the book link I provided, a chapter actually talks about men in prominent social positions, Pres. Johnson for one, who relate to it in perhaps seemingly bizarre and humorous ways....like a close friend)
Given past and still s/w male dominance in medicine (in the USA) it may be seen why one reason for infant genital surgeries (and sex of rearing) being geared the way they are...... Only men can and must have adequate penises (and testicles) for creation...and only women can and must have functioning vaginas (and uteri)....the fertile ground for the male's seed.....and "normal" sexuality......as substantiated by so-called human "historical fact"......please note that the word history consists of the conjunction of two root words: his-story......okay, okay....I am a feminist!
Anyway, my rant for the day......back to work.
