Since Aimee has started a good trend of posting a bunch of irreverant threads (thanks, Aimee!), I figured I would dredge up an old thread idea and use it for a new one.

Where do you call home?

I'm in western New Jersey, almost into Pennsylvania in a little town called Glen Gardner. It is small! I think the current population is about 1700 and we have two stoplights, plus one flashing one. To the best of my knowledge, it has the only purple building for miles around.

I know that is hard to believe for those of you who think the state ends just to the west of the turnpike and no, you can't ask me what exit as it is nowhere near the highway :wink_smil

Hi Betsy,
I live in southern nh, at least for the moment. In a semi-rural suburb of a
smallish city. I've also lived in Mass, and short times in other states. And
resided for a few months in a university building in downtown Maryland,
when I was a child.
I'm getting around more than I used to though, and occasionally take
road trips. The cape is nice. So is Maine.

Live in beautiful Northern California. Originally from Fiji. High School dropout (no excuses :tounge_sm ) Doing a Legal Specialist Certificate and AA majoring in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Absolutely suck in Maths so try to avoid Maths subjects. I am 42 and if I am not 50 :P by the time I finish I will go on to do a Paralegal Degree :wink_smil Would love to see more of USA, but concentrating on school right now.

LOL :happy68: Very funny! Thanks Dana and Betsy. Hey, I just thought of an idea. Why don't we organise a group trip, that way we get to see a bit more (physically, I mean ;-) ) of the USA and get to know each other better as well. Maybe camp-out with the bears :razz: etc.......aren't I just the funny guy today 8) . We could go to Kentucky and Meadow could host us ;-) or Pennsylvania or somewhere out of our own areas.

Maybe, we could even organise a group retreat or something. How about it?

We have a member who lives in NE PA and has contacted me in the past (not long ago) about possibly putting something like that together. I haven't heard from them (it's a married couple) in a month or so but will call this weekend and see if they have pursued it any.

Denmark sure is beautiful. I haven't there in about 6 years, and think often of the fond memories of my youth visiting there.

I live in a town called South Hill in Washington State. We are about 30 minutes away from Mount Rainier which is the most beautiful mountain I have seen. We used to have tons of trees everywhere, but with all the land in the Seattle-Metro area used up, everyone is coming out to us. I think Microsoft is also building some new offices in the town next to ours, so house prices around us are skyrocketing, and everyone is building houses like crazy.

I miss the trees.
