Hi Mom,

Ok folks…. I am very proud to announce that I have had the “Conversation” with my mother. I am very proud of her for facing this situation that has plagued us with guilt, shame, and secrecy for the past 43 years. The only dividing wall between this great friendship has now been removed. But like many of us with new found knowledge, this also brings new questions.

I have given my mother a link to BLO where hopefully she can find some answers to any questions she may have, or learn of some new aspect of this condition that would not have been considered.

At this point I know she will be just a visitor and most likely will not join BLO, although I know she would have a lot to contribute to the conversation.

I have a great Mom, so I would like to be the first to welcome her to BLO

There are some events in persons lives that can be described but with one word: PROFOUND. Such would be the case of the prisioner, so intimate with the walls of their cell, from the small cracks to the tiny creatures that coexist, upon the day of their release into the world and into the sunshine. Such a moment, I suspect, is true of prince....ss as of this day. We should all be honored to bear witness to another soul who had been set free.
