Has anyone else been following the self-revealing of Deep Throat the past two days? The Washington Post coverage--including how they got scooped on it--is amazing. There's a great article by Bob Woodward posted this evening---about how him and Felt came to know each other. I'm presuming it is the article he had written in anticipation of Felt's death as it seems to contain little updating.

I haven't yet gone for a copy of Vanity Fair yet was amazed by publisher Graydon Carter's comments about his feelings the morning of the Felt article being published and whether Felt was telling the truth or simply delusional.

I've been spending some time this evening trying to research a house bombing (not severe---and to the best of my knowledge, no one was injured) that took place near the neighborhood where I grew up. I must have been 9 or 10 at the time; I was old enough to bike there by myself which is what I remember the most along with visuals of the front of the house being pretty well damaged in my childhood eyes. Rumour at the time was that it was boyhood home of E. Howard Hunt and I remember it happened in the midst of the watergate hearings and ironically, it was a home on Hunt Avenue.

My research thus far turned up that he was indeed born in Hamburg, NY (they called it East Hamburg in his bios which may have been old name) but I'm coming up empty on it on any bombs.

Above and beyond this memory, I'm curious what some of the folks here that are old enough to remember Watergate think about the news of the last couple of days.
