I have a 6 year old with virulizing CAH. At about 4 months old, she had an enlarged clitoris and started growing pubic hair. I've dealt with the meds, the constant endocrinology appts., but I'm more nervous about what her teen years are going to be like. She has to have complete genital reconstruction and I opted for her to have it in her teen years (so that she can understand what's going on or make the decision to not have it). Has anyone experienced this? If so, what should i expect? Any comments are welcome.
