I'm a mom of an intersexed daughter who is now 7. I luckily was in the right place at the right time and had a member of ISNA on staff when she was born, so had more information and direction than a lot of families had 7 years ago.

Anyways, I'm looking for other moms of kids around my daughter's age, and how to talk to her about things as she is getting older. She had surgery when 2 for some necessary things, and also after much worry/investigation/prayer she also had some reconstructive surgery. I'm hoping to talk to some people who are in a similar situation and might have some insight into things/health concerns that have started coming up.

Thanks for your thoughts and advice, ahead of time!

Hi Sharona,

We don't have many parents who post but I know there was one from the other week asking about others who had no surgery. However, I hear regularly from parents and often will do an email intro, particularly if they live in the same area. Oftentimes, the request is specific for age groups or geographical, and quite often, condition specific.

Send me either an email at info somewhereat bodieslikeours.org or a PM with your contact information and I'll see if I can't find other parents for you.
