In order to educate individual chapters around the country about intersex issues, PFLAG has written to us requesting a list of people willing to talk about their experiences and do a basic intersex 101 workshop. They are interested in having intersex people themselves, and especially parents of intersex people and children.
If you are interested, especially if you are a parent (your sexual orientation or your child's--child being any age because we are always our parent's child--orientation is irrelevant) and are willing to spend one or two evenings sometime in the future educating people about the issue and your personal experiences, please let me know so I can forward your name on.
If you are already involved with PFLAG, you may just want to contact your local chapter and let them know you are available to speak about the issue.
It is their goal to have every chapter throughout the organization host a workshop so it's a big undertaking and every bit of help is needed. PFLAG will match you up with your nearest chapter at a time and date that is convenient for you.
Here's the PFLAG Policy Statement (http://bodieslikeours.org/recentevents/PFLAG_2002.html) in case you haven't seen it.
