Kailana Sidrandi Alaniz, what a faszinating name. Can you tell more about it? And is it official too in your papers? I am just curious, because I have a name change behind me.

its official, although i am waiting on my new birthcertificate, should arrive in the next 1-4 weeks. i was told it take 3-6 weeks to recieve it, two weeks have passed allready. i have changed name with the V.A., with DSHS, with DHS, With the Walla Walla Community College. Those were all simple and free. Once i had the Judges approval for the name change.
$63.00 court fees.
$33.00 County auditors fee
$17.00 for birth Certificate from state health department
$??.?? social security-havent done yet
$25.00 new Drivers license- will do when i have berth certificate

Overall it was pretty easy, i am waiting on the Birth certificate so i can change my Social security NAme, plan on keeping the same number. Not sure how that part works, and Drivers license. these are the only two things that require the birth certificate. So when i get my new certificate i'll change those too.
overall i'd consider changing name isnt all that difficult. Although i suppose if the judge had been opposed to intersexed/transgender issues, you know homophobic or something things might not have gone well. As it was, he signed the petition for name change without any problems. :wave1:

Switzerland sounds like a wonderful place, Ernesta. Majestic mountains, and hopefully fresh air.

Oh Priestess and Maria, everywhere in the world it is beautiful ... and don't forget, the grass on the other side of the fence is always greener. So far, I mean, it's nice to have the passport of two countries.

Yes, I agree. For natural beauty, many places are good. It's the qualities of the people you live with, that usually makes things seem different. The alaskan wilderness wouldn't feel as cold if you had warm hearts to share it with. But where would that be? Fictional places like Cicely (Northern Exposure) or Kotzebue (Salmonberries)? I've met alaskans who seemed nicer people than average, but I've also met good (and bad) people from many places. Perhaps paradise is in the heart? :interesti

Bingo!, but don't lock it in. Bring this paradise outside to others, to us .. here! That is what I found in so many places too. People with heart, who you meet for the first time and they offer you to sleep at their home and share the table. From nearby to the other side of the globe ...

... and then you meet these tiny sausages at the Birmingham Zoo! *grin*

I just realized that Kailana hasn't been here since her account name was changed. Odd, I hope she's still able to login.
