Hi my name is Ian. I'm looking for a support group in Rochester that is not far from the U of R. I would appreciate any help. It's good to be here.

Hi Ian,
Just wanted to say welcome and hello. Sorry...I don't know of any groups in your area but give it a little time, someone around here is bound to have an answer for you. Have you contacted any GLBT organizations on campus or your local PFLAG (Parents, Family, and Friends of Lebians and Gays) chapter? They might be a good resource. The Detroit chapter has been very supportive of me and has become my family even though technically I'm not GLBT. They even went to bat for me and fought to keep intersex included in the mix when PFLAG national was considering dropping intersex.
Take care.

Hi Ian,
There is no support group here in Rochester, but there is me. I've been hoping to find enough people to start one for a long time. I used to be in counceling with Bill Kelly - MSW cert. sex therapist who is forming a men's group for trans and intersexed men. He's been trying to help us find each other.
I live in the middle of downtown, next door to the Museum of Play across from Manhattan Square Pk. I sing in the Rochester Gay Men's Chorus and am giving a lecture on intersex stuff at RIT on the 15th. I've published things in the Empty Closet and am very out and about.
If the wind chill gets above -20 and it stops blizzarding would you like to meet for coffee?
