that is awful. i would feel so bad if i forced my child to have surgery to be "normal" and thus made it so that they could not feel all the pleasure that they should as an adult.

The article is one of the first acknowlegements of what we with CAH know to be so.....

it ALL sucks.... even the surgery that's supposed to preserve our sensation.

The "what about the lockeroom" arguement is bullshit. I simply avoided the locker room. My daughter will too. Piss poor excuse for mutilation.

Why aren't the parents lobbying for stalls and doors in lockerooms?

Because they would rather chop off what offends them, especially when it does not belong to THEM.

girls arent the same as boys in locker rooms. their parts arent as noticable and if something really IS going to take the time to notice that a clit is that much bigger then the person teasing should be teased right back for taking that much of a look! grrrr. things like that irk me. i know that there was plenty of girls in the locker room who looked different. i remember having to change for swimming course and just noticing things and dismissing them. hmm. she has big boobs. hmmm. she has a lot of pubic hair. but whatever! i certaintly was never going to go up and say those things to people! its just kinda hard not to notice when you bed over to take your pants off and have a girl naked 5 inches from your face! i wish people wouldnt make such a big deal out of things. i remember the first time i ever came in contact with an uncircumcised penis. i had never even seen a picture of one before. i remember thinking it was different and wondering if things would feel the same on him. i dont have a penis, i dont know. but i certainly didnt throw myself away and start shouting how weird it was. i think i would be the same way if i came in contact with a girl who had a "large" clit. if i was in a situation where i was close enough to SEE that is was bigger than mine, im sure i would note, "wow, that is a lot bigger then mine" and then just continue on. its just genitals people! we all have them, and guess what, they are ALL different. lol. men always say they look "to see if hes bigger then me" i hate that comment. ok. glance. whatever. humans are curious being. but i still dont understand the whole "bigger is better" thing that the typical man hangs on to.
