Are you thinking skin graft or colon section? There are quite a few options.
Kind regards,
cjs

ClaraJane. . .I guess the only operation I have been informed about is the skin graft yet that was the only option 6 years ago when I talked to my obgyn. I was wondering what other options are out there for me. Do you have any info??
Much Thanks,
Jami

There are quite a few options available now, including dilation, skin grafts, and sigmoid resection. Dilation, when possible, is probably the best. When surgery is necessary, dilation will still also be necessary, although less so after a sigmoid section than a skin graft.
There is a reasonably good article at

If you are considering surgery, then my recommendation (for what it is worth) is this doctor (both a urologist and surgeon, experienced in intersex conditions:
http://www.altermd.com/preview.htm
The left hand column has the various procedures, you'll see intersex along with various other surgeries.
He's expensive, but I have heard nothing but good news from his techniques and results. Maybe your insurance will cover most of the cost.
Hope this helps somewhat....PS : Dr. Alter is in Southern Calif.
Bye, take care.
