I was wondering if any of this rang a bell with anyone?

Since last week, I've been feeling basically over heated and slightly sweaty ( none of which is the norm for me ). Last night, I woke up from a sound sleep and my t-shirt was drenched in sweat and my hair was a little damp. So, I changed the t-shirt and went back to bed. When I woke up that t-shirt was soaked with sweat along with my pillows and comforter that I was sleeping on top of. My whole head of hair was drenched also.

I was diagnosed as a simple virilizer by a major hospital with a endo clinic and genetic testing ect. (they were able to decifer that I had 11- hydroxylase deficiency instead of 21) yet it still makes me wonder when I sweat like this which is very rarely anyway but it still is scary.

I'm going to call the Endo about this but I wanted input from here too!

Hey Kelly,

I've always had a sweat problem, mostly while sleeping. Waking up drenched is fairly common for me no matter what the room temperature is. Daytime sweating is not as big of an issue, but still what I would consider slightly above normal. Most curious is my right armpit---no matter how much I try to clog up those pores with anti-perspirant, it still sweats tons more than the left one.

Let me know what the doc says.

Thanks Betsy:

As soon as I find an Endo that isn't offended by me I'll let you know the answer to that question. Just curious but did you ever try Tom's deoderant from the Health Food stores ?

I never sweat but only ever so often and it freaks me out. The Endo is like gee I really don't know. But the blood tests are SUPER AND you don't have THAT much Facial hair. I swear they must take a class in how to BS the patient when they really can't help them.

Yep...it's usually what I use. The anti-perspirant comment was mostly meteraphorical as I gave up on them years ago because they did weird things to me.

:( I once had a doctor suggest phenobarbital to me for the night sweats which I guess if I liked taking narcotics may have worked but the idea of taking more pills kind of does nothing for me.
