Hey everyone, if you are not registered to vote or need to change yours due to a move or some other reason, please consider doing so through Bodies Like Ours. If you think about how the 2000 election was won or lost (depending on your view), it's clear every vote counts. If you are already registered to vote but have friends or relatives who are not, please send them the following url to register today:

http://www.registrationbyworkingassets.com/BodiesLikeOurs

When you register to vote using the above link, you not only have a voice in the next election, but you also help eliminate shame and secrecy in the intersex community.

Hey Betsy, I like the "get out the vote" campaign Bodies has launched, and the IS and Gay marriage page -- very impressive, nicely-done.

However, it bears noting that simply registering to vote will not reverse the Electoral College process, which is how "Dubya" defeated Gore:

2000 Presidential Election Results:
Popular Votes:
Bush 50,456,167
Gore. 50,996,064
Electoral Votes:
Bush 271
Gore 266

So, what to do? Take your strength as a voter, and go one more step, and demand of your elected officials (the ones you voted for) that the Electoral College process be changed.

At the same time, demand that laws be changed to allow Felons to vote. They cannot own guns, many cannot obtain decent employment, years after they've "paid their due," yet in most States, they cannot vote. This is WRONG.
