In response to questions and statements here and in my PM mailbox about why people come and go:
It's the internet, people come and people go. Some stick around, and others do not. Because our main focus is peer driven support, some people get what they need after one or two posts and some like to stick around to "help" those who may post for the first time. Sometimes people get what they need simply by lurking and reading. There have been a couple of very rare occasions where people have registered claiming to be IS but once they realize that the unique trauma and shame we experience is going to be hard to fake, they too wander on down the road.
And for those who are active, it is generally in bad form to play they role of grammar police. It makes assumptions about class and education and I would prefer that this community not be bogged down by class issues and educational differences. It also makes assumptions that american english is the first language of a poster and that is often wrong in a forum like this.
On the same account, it is generally considered bad form to respond publicly to a PM. It's kind of like the stereotypical guys in a bar having a private tiff and saying "Let's take this outside" and then proceeding to beat eachother up. It proves nothing but in some perverse way often makes people want to choose sides.
It's even worse with the internet because we don't know what is really going on with someone---we can't see them, we can't hear them, we can't touch them...
I hate having to play den mother.
