Hello everybody, I would just like to introduce myself. I have recently discovered about my is condition after seeing some old birth photographs hidden in my closet and after heavy marijuana use. Life has been tough but I am very happy to have figured out my condition early, in fact I am only a junior in high school. I believe I am a Pais male but I am not totally sure. I look forward to sharing my life with the community and to dedicate my time to the IS movement. I believe with our community becoming larger and more organized, with hard work it will just be a matter of time before we will be accepted and acknowledged.

Pardon my inquisitiveness, but what led you to your conclusion about having PAIS? Have you spoken with your parents or friends about this?

Yes, Hello Glenn. Good Question. I could be totally wrong about having Pais, and this forum is the first people I have come forward to about my condition. I came to the Pais conclusion after months of research of all the different conditions and this seemed to apply to me. I have a scar that runs down my bottom which appears to be a fused labia and one on my abdomen wich I recall at the age of 5 was when one of my testacles was moved to my scrotum. From the birth pictures, it appears to me that I was born with a chordee

Welcome!
Um.... no suggestions yet on your condition. Maybe if you felt more comfortable later on to elaborate on you findings.... Have you seen a doctor yet to verify your idea? Best of luck, and overall welcome!

Welcome aziatic. Thanks for joining us. As you have memories of childhood testicular surgery, and have spent months researching intersex issues, you might want to get your medical records from the hospital where you were born. I don't know how open your parents are about your being intersexed. A problem is that if you are living at home with your parents, I could imagine that receiving your medical records in the mail might upset your parents. I can see that you might need to get in touch with a doctor who could get your medical records for you, while still maintaining your privacy. A good thing about getting your medical records while you are still young, is there is a good chance that the records have not made it to the dumpster yet. I, along with other "Bodies" members, recently posted some tips on getting medical records.

Welcome to BLO!
Why not try to be honest with your parents and ask them what they know? They might be relieved that the topic comes out into the open and help you answer some questions.
You may want to be gentle with your wording and the things you feel. Some parents are totally freaked by the word intersex, but go slowly and you might find they are the biggest help of all.
Good luck... you're way ahead of most of us when we were in middle school!
