I would like to know if there are any good songs about or by intersex peop[le?
I would be interested in hearing what you discover in the area. As an intersex person and occasional songwriter, sometimes my songs touch on what I would term the psychology of being intersex. My lyrics are not explicitly about intersex, and I use the standard toolbox of minor pentatonic scales (used by most beginning songwriters) in my songs. I wrote one song, called "I Saw Flowers In Every Direction", which is about contemplating an intersex anatomy. I don't know if you are collecting songs by intersex songwriters, but if you send me your contact information by the "PM" option, I could send you a recording of the song.

Actually I'm looking for two things,
1) music about intersex issues and intersex people, and
2) music by intersex people, whether or not all their songs d4eal with IS stuff
THEMESONG of the INTERSEXED
Thankyou garbage!
THEMESONG of the INTERSEXED
Thankyou garbage!
I'll play that at my next candlelight-dinner:)
Looking forward to the new album actually...
How many Garbage fans are here I wonder?
My HAPPY SONG IS:
"Push It" by Garbage, Version 2.0 album
I play that song whenever I'm really pumped up to have a good day!
but I've really taken to Androgyny, (giggle) yeah its a real candlelight type song, LOL
What other bands u into Sof?
I like:
Saliva, Poets of the Fall, Killing Heidi, the Superjesus, Incubus, Creed, Nickelback
and I can't think of many more right now.
Not that much into bands, often I just like one or two songs from an album.
I like 1 t & Cool T, Norah Jones, Kelis, Savage Rose, Pink, Sort Sol, Sean Paul, Shakira and portuguese fado. And Garbage. Sometimes I listen to records from the 70s and classic music, especially J. S. Bach.
I also play piano and organ.
My favourite album is "To the Limit" by Joan Armatrading.
Eden Atwood happens to be an AIS'er but first of all she is a great jazz singer ;)

Nice website. Lovely lady.
Yes. And there are even some MP3s you can download.
Garbage has a video of "Androgyny" on their website (http://www.garbage.com).
Even when I feel that I have a heart of stone, music still can touch me.
Sof i e
A song about abuse by Beth Hart and Oliver Leiber.
What more shall I say? It's a beautiful song. How can anyone do a beautiful song about abuse? I feel very touched by it.

I'd say somewhere in this world, theres a famous singer, actor, actress born with some kind of Is condition but how would we find out. I dont know about being intersexed, but I've always wondered about michael jackson being transgendered
Sincerely,
Aziatic
I can't speak in regards to Michael Jackson's medical condition, but it never ceases to amaze me how being rich and famous enough makes it okay (or at least tolerable to the masses) to be different. Hey I've got an idea, if I take my side job of DJing to a new level and become rich and famous, maybe being IS will be in fashion. (Oops, is my sarcasm showing?)
I always thought it would be fun to throw a dance and only play songs with non-compliant orientation and gender themes. There's plenty of them out there.

I'm not aware of Michael Jackson having any medical condition other than possible vitiligo (loss of dermal melanin,a skin pigment). As for having any form of gender dysphoria or gender identity issues....my own opinion is that it would be unlikely. He seems to regard himself fully a male, perhaps somewhat androgynous in presentation, but with more a likelihood of a body dysmorphic variation..........as for his sexual orientation? ....no comment..... :rolleye11
