Gender Revolution - ITL # 1610
I just finished watching the In The Life episode (# 1610) entitled "Gender Revolution", which was compiled from previous episodes. Betsy Driver was featured in the segment on intersex lives. I stand in awe of Betsy's ability to state intersex issues clearly for the viewing public. I also admire the courage of all the other people who appeared on the program. I highly recommend this episode.

Hi peaceand party,
I have never seen a youtube video before, but if you provide a link, I would be glad to take a look at your video. I don't have a link for the ITL episode # 1610, and I don't know about their viewing policies, but you should be able to find out the information at the In The Life website. Peter |
thats a shame about there being no limk for the other thing you were talking about....the truth is that i wouldnt know which video of my now 130 strong video collection to give a link to...so i guess i will just advice or suggest that you go to youtube and look for peaceandparty there
i truly would like to do a video for all the feelings that people try and write about here....but only and only whhen someone has a suggestion i dont or will try not to do something that will absolutely itch someones brain but i would love to have more input as regards thoughts from comments from fellow intersexers thx for the reply |
hiya peter, this episode is airing july 30, kcts
ok now, i misssed it, But locally its reairing on 30 July on KCTS, for me thats a Seattle cable channel.
If anyone is interested or curious about seeing this episode you can search on In The Life, they do have a search engine for airing dates. |
did any english or irish people see on channel 4 or bbc2 a documentary film about two xxys and it was called something like:intersex!???
this is the film that made me discover the great word intersex! i think intersex perfectly describes my situation but then unfortunately i realised that certain other minorities had taken the word intersex for themselves and to be honest,i think we need that word for the wide array of situations and conditioning that we have been brought up with... so intersex is here to stay...but it just needs a bit more explaining for the worlds people |
wish i had
I would of loved to have caught that show as well. I did want to say that there are many people who are intersexed who actually dont like using that word. Its kind of the reason for the DSD nomenclature, and please dont ask me what that stands for. I prefer intersexed or even hermaphrodyte over the newer DSD, name/title/label.
Since there are so very many of us, i suppose it would best to say or advise people to use what they feel most suits them. Oh, peaceand party, if you are ever aware of airing dates for shows you might try posting those showing dates in the "in the news section" That way people can look for shows that might be of interest to them. |
hi
i will absolutely try my best to show you links for tv shows or videos on youtube i am very well aware of the people who ultimately deny to themselves what would make life easier for all of us if and only if we could agree on the term that is so obviously anyone who has any type of thing that makes not be totally one or the other may i remind or bless some of you with the information that many xys and xxs and "normal"people that we see in general be it on the tv,the street, our work places...or in dungeons in the south of france these people could also be termed intersex and if intersex is too sexual or erotic sounding then choose middle sex or lets find a feckin word that we all like but not an abbreviation this world is full of abbreviations dont you think? too many confusions when you want to buy a t.v on the street and a man in a dress asks you do you want to bring him home and you ask"what!.....to watch the game with me!??!! you see tvs and cds......what about cds!? whats the difference between a cd and a tv? ---well! you can listen and watch a t.v for ever and be fascinated and a cd you can only listen to more to come dont boil me for my made up joke!thx peace |
