... not much more to say. My heart beats fully on your side, Apple! We must get out of this destructiv self-pityness and start to fight for our rights. And if not for us, then for all the children, which are in danger of the surgeons knive. See also this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp_Uy...elated&search= ... and by the way, this video shows that IS and TS can work together!

I think I know what you meant. Just to clarify though. I am not asking anyone to pick sides. I don't see it as a take sides issue myself. I agree with you, obviously, that this is a self defeating and self destructive trend that people need to be aware of, and I also think it is a trend both begun and perpetuated by the 'medical and psych' parasites for their own profit. As for TS and IS people working together. Yes, of course, there is surely some overlap regarding broader human rights issues. Too often however, TS and TG people manage to submerge core issues of importance to us, beneath their concerns regarding sex and gender, even causing much confusion in the process. Such shenanigans really only harm both communities, by creating mutual suspicion and even animosity between us, which of course hampers cooperation which could potentially be of real help to both communities alike.

I knew there was a reason I'd almost stopped visiting this forum. The sandpaper level of communication might have something to do with it. Sunshine1's post is a great attempt at showing how someone can feel, almost normal, or almost free of the restrictions binding our perceptions.
And Apple, lighten up some, eh? We got it, okay. You didn't need to use a sledgehammer to get the point across. A great many people in the IS, indeed TS/TG, realm are struggling with the identity issue. Some of them are trying to find Gender Identity, others want those thoughts about gender to just be quiet for awhile, and yet others simply don't want to think about any of it. The world around us, pushes these ideas of Gender all the time. Some of us, like Apple, don't have to consider what our presence causes others to think. Either their self-esteem is really high, or they're male. Because Women look at it very differently. If you want a good resource to understand the female dynamic, try Deborah Tannen's book, "You're Wearing That?" Are you sure, you aren't an Anarchist, Apple? www.ifeminist.com might be a great visit for you. |

Sadly you really don't get it at all. Why can't you see that, no one "has to consider what our presence causes others to think", and that clearly such insecurity, is indicative of emotional immaturity, rather than gender demographics? Why must you apply gender polarity? I also have to ask you, what difference, in the realm of ideas, does my sex or supposed gender make? You presume, that I must either have high self esteem, or be a male. Well my my. It seems that someone has a view of "poor helpless womankind" based on media stereotypes, and you know it's all true, because you read a book about it. You did however evidence some potential insight, when you wrote, "the world around us pushes these ideas of Gender all the time", and yet it is extremely sad, that you cannot see, that this is precisely what you are doing here and now. Gender obsessives seeking liberation from sex/gender oppression, must first recognize their true enemy, because that enemy is clearly they themselves.
