just to clarify, "LOCAH" is not a diagnosis. It means "late onset" which is also wrong. All forms of adrenal hyperplasia that are congenital, affect you from the 5-7th week of gestation throughout life. There is no 'late onset.' I am an intersex female because my brain, my body and my genitalia were variously virilized and I do not fit in any way into a female personality. I am somewhere in between. I used to call it being 'raised male' which I was, but that was in large part because my behavior was consistently typical of males, including pushing down other boys and challenging them to fight and arm wrestling the 90 pound weaklings in 6th grade math class - and beating them. I haven't yet shown up at a high school reunion but I am sure every boy I defeated remembers that event with enormous resentment
