Hi!

just found this site and I think it's great. I've done alot of looking around on the net and I never ran across it before now.

I should say first and foremost that I don't think I have any chromosome/hormonal dilemas that I know of other than having a clitoris slightly bigger than ones I've seen in magazines and having small breasts and being quite the tomboy at times....which sometimes makes me wonder honestly but i am not here for myself, exactly.

I am here because I want to learn about intersex condidtions.

I believe I have known a couple of people who have had problems concerning their genitalia. I say "believe" because they don't go around talking about it.
thats why I think things like this forum are a really good thing.

After learning some about ambiguity I began to feel like I could somehow help someone who had to go through something like this growing up...somehow.
For some reason I feel like I can understand some of the emotions of an intersex person. It makes me angry the way certain sources feel the need to demonize things like this to address it. I think it makes it harder for those who go through it to cope with it...possibly causing them to make decision, before they are able to fully appreciate themselves, that they might regret.

I haven't yet read alot of the posts on here. that's what I will begin to do while kinda staying in the background. I'm interested in hearing peoples personal stories and am glad they have a place to talk about it. I'm curious about alot of things but I will try not to bombard anyone with invasive questions but if anyone has questions for me, feel free. I can be quite candid and tend to not get embarrassed by too much related to sexual function.

Hello!

And Welcome. It's good to see people with an open mind. I appreciate your candidness about your 'normal' condition. I know that these forums are wide open, and are visible to anybody. The primary purpose here is to make as many people aware that IS conditions truly do exist, and that people with them are just as normal as everybody else, and have all the dreams, hopes and aspirations that 'monosexuals' have.

I see that you are trying to 'bring something to the table' by posting, and that alone is a positive thing. Please 'keep it up', and let people know (Tell 5!) what you have 'discovered'. But, as we have said among ourselves, one must be cautious and aware of the people to whom you are discussing this subject to. Some out there do not wish IS persons well. To become associated with this issue may open oneself to any number of problems, but it can also open other 'doors'.

All My Best to you and your discoveries.
Wyn

Ha...Yeah...good points.
That's why its good that there is a place where people can use nicks to talk about things and you can always ban people who are rude....but who needs the drama and possible hurt feelings in the first place?
I haven't told anyone about this site in the places I go online. I wish to be able to help others or even myself find some really good thing in a forum such as this. If I find it appropriate I will tell others....if they want to help...or if they need help. I will try to use good judgement.

And just for the record...

I was not born with an intersex condition, but I have never considered myself 'normal'. You would have to know me to know what that means so I will leave it at that.

Hi Melonaide,

Welcome to BLO.

It is not the busiest community on the net and in the three years it's been around (has it been three years already?), it has always gone through really busy times and then really slow times. With the yuletide season here, everyone gets a bit distracted as well with other stuff---I know I do (or usually do if I wasn't busy packing)
