Could I be intersexed...?

Hello

I am a ftm transgendered person/transsexual (pre op).
(Haven't made a final decision yet, I'm pretty confused because I make a good girl as well as a good boy... although I am pretty body/gender dysphoric about having a "female" body *shudders*).

When I was about 15 I remember wondering if I was intersexed and asking my mum if I was born intersexed and they'd had to choose one sex and chosen girl. She said no.

I have been wondering this again a lot lately, mum assures me this was not the case.

And I have been wondering if I might be intersexed, but in a way that is hard to detect or not extremely obvious, like having undescended testicles (of which I display/have displayed some of the "symptoms").

It sure would explain a lot.

Through some of my research, I have come to think that perhaps there are a lot more intersexed people out there than is thought.
I think that perhaps many TG people are intersexed and it's not realised....

I don't even know where or how to get tested to find out about things like chromosomes or if I have undescended testicles.
I guess if I follow my gender therapists advice and go to this big gender clinic which I can get referred to, then they might be able to do some tests or send me to a specialist?
