Campral is a drug normally prescribed in the treatment of alcoholics (it is meant to help them stop drinking alcoholic drinks). In order for the patient to gain the best results from his treatment with Campral (also known as Acamprosate) it is recommended that this drug should be accompanied by at least one treatment program (preferably one that includes support and even counceling).

A friend of mine is searching for an effective medication to treat alcoholism. Does anyone know about campral. Is it an effective medicine?? If you know about any other medication to treat alcoholism, please post it here.
