PAIS 23-year old leading a confusing life in Indonesia
Hi everyone! Pleased to meetcha! I mean, *really* pleased! Whew!
I'm really happy to finally join this forum. At last, a place to talk about my problems with people who really know what it's like to be intersexed. Let me tell you, there is a dearth of understanding people in my country. What with the religious extremism and general malice towards alternative genders-- let me tell you, it is not easy to live here and admit your intersexuality. Some physical facts: Since I'm type-III PAIS, I have gynecomastia, underdeveloped genitals, little bodily and facial hair, an entirely female voice, and a rather ambiguous facial structure. Depends on how I part my hair, people either call me "Miss" or "Sir". Which sounds like fun but is rather more of a hassle, really. My mental gender has been determined by a psychiatrist, Dr. Arman of the MMC Hospital in Jakarta, as mostly female. But my sexual orientation can only be described as "I like girls. I like girls. I like girls." In fact, the reason I finally joined BOL is that I recently split up with my girlfriend of 1.5 years because of my intersexual condition. I really need someone to talk to, and I just realized that no one I know really understands how I feel--no one I know is intersexed. Hopefully that would change soon! Salam Kenal (Indonesian introductory greetings), Pandu Winata Sastrowardoyo or Pandu Wisaksono Sastrowardoyo |
