Lightbulb Mr. Rogers

Mr. Rogers passed away this morning. among the quotes cited by CNN (http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/TV/...gers.quotes.ap/) was:

"You know, you don't have to look like everybody else to be acceptable and to feel acceptable."

More people should be so wise.

Good words to live by...I think I will post them on my bulletin board I keep above my desk.

I used to watch Mr Rogers everyday when I was a child...and I do mean everyday. If it wasn't there, a temper tantrum was there instead.

I was laughing with Janet about those early days of tv and had a great memory about how my family finally got a color tv--a 9 or 13 inch Sony Trinitron (isn't it amazing how we remember odd details). The one thing I really remember was that Big Bird was yellow! I must have been only about 5 or 6, but can remember that morning like it was yesterday. Funny though, even though I watched Mr Rogers everyday, I don't recall him being in color
