Boston request

If you are in Boston and can do this, please let me know.

Dear Betsy,

We met and spoke at the True Colors Conference in CT last weekend, and as you may remember, I am organizing a Breaking the Silence rally on Boston Common in front of the State House on Wed, April 9th from 5pm-7pm. And as a reminder, the National Day of Silence Project is a national youth movement founded in 1996 protesting the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and their allies and to draw attention to those who have been silenced by hatred, oppression, and prejudice. It calls upon people to “think about the voices you are not hearing,” and ask themselves “what can I do to end the silence?”

You had mentioned posobly being able to help me find an intersex speaker in the Boston area (since unfortunately I'm having everything donated and have no real money) for the rally.

Suggested topics would include:
Personal story...journey, current place, anecdotes, etc
Safe Schools situation
Need for and power of youth activism
Importance of finding allies and supporting one another
Sustaining yourself as someone who is visible
Other--by all means, be creative!!!

Please get back to me by Monday, March 31st if you know of anyone who would be interested in speaking. Once I figure out who is available and wishes to speak, I will be able to set up the schedule. Please include the person's email and a phone number at which it is safe to reach them (or have them contact me themselves). Any questions or concerns can be sent here or you can call me at 508-528-xxxx or 508-528-xxxx. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
Paige
