So, the taping and show went pretty well. It was a very short interview---10 minutes. I tried my best to balance my own story with what our mission is. When we did some pre-interview stuff on Friday and talked about some personal issues, it was fine, but today those questions were worded a little differently and that throw me some. My annoying eye-rolling habit (which is mostly nerves) was a bit accentuated because they did make-up on me and all that mascara really brought out the whites of my eyes. I've been working on those annoying nervous reactions each time I speak and I really need to add that one to my list.

They talked up bodies.org and the fact that we are non-profit a whole lot which I was really happy about. Afterwards, the producer spoke a bit about maybe trying for a longer segment next time which would be good because it is a big topic to get your brain around in 10 minutes. Print is so much easier.

Overall, it was decent...not perfect but according to my TV News coworkers quite good. I'm probably a bit hard on myself and I think any intersex activists seeing it might be a bit hard on it but for the neophyte, a good introduction to the issue.

I'd be interested in a critique from anyone who saw it.

Betsy

PS...I've got tape and will try to figure out what to do with it. Since it is short, I may see about streaming it.
