Help Me
Even though I have a male genitelia and am fertile. I have been diagnosed by my physician as having the ability to lactate. I also have a 27-34 waist/hip ratio and no armpit hair. What kind of intersex condition is this?

You may want to look into Kleinfelter's Syndrome. This is a condition in which your genes are XXY rather than the typical XY male combination.
A good place to start looking would be the Instersex Society of North America's website. http://www.isna.org/ |

You think?
No one ever told me I had XXY chromosones.

In all likelyhood, no one would have ever tested you for abnormal chromosomes. I don't think it's something that is routinely done.
Klinefelter's is the only one of the intersex conditions that I know of that might match what you described, but I could be wrong. There are likely a number of non-intersex conditions that could explain it as well. I was tested for Klinefelter's about two years ago but the results were negative. The doctor mentioned that there are situations in which the pituitary gland (at least I think it was the pituitary) can cause similar physical characteristics. You would probably want to ask your doctor to be sure. |
