totally off-topic

Does Google have a sense of humor?

This was on an email list I subscribe to today:

DOES GOOGLE HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR? (Steve Safran)
Do this: 1. go to google.com; 2. type in the words
weapons of mass destruction; 3. click the I'm feeling
lucky button instead of the Google search button, and
look at the resulting page closely. If all else fails -
this is the result I got:
http://www.coxar.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

Talking yup!

Someone else pointed out that page to me, but didn't mention it came from a Google search! The link for T-shirts is new, though...

Funny, someone else on a geek forum I am a member of said that as well, Muhoe. It's still funny that 'weapons of mass destruction' would lead to an online poker site!

I didn't see any of those things. All I saw was something like a parody of a "Page Cannot Be Found" page.

Andi, if you read the page I think you'll get it. I clicked away at first also, thinking it was a page not found, but then I read more.

Cool

I'd already received the instructions from a list I was on and after a momentary "What the...??" I read the first few lines and was laughing so hard I couldn't finish and then passed it on to a dozen or so people in my address book. Maybe it helped me to "get it" because some of the listmembers had already labeled it a spoof. Stifle me! I'll get political in an instant!

Go! Google! Go!
