Making contacts
I am 52, and new to my awareness of having MRKH. For me, it has been an amazing revelation to see that this is actually a syndrome, with characteristics shared by MANY people. I live in the Boston area, and am interested in speaking with others.
Thanks, Trish |

Have you been to www.mrkh.org yet? They have several support groups listed, and even if they're for younger women, they might have contacts for you.

I appreciate your reply.
At this point in my life, I am not really interested in a support group, as the medical and emotional "coping" issues are long passed. (What is "new" is my awareness of sharing a set of common physical traits with so many others.) I continue, however, to be very interested in the larger social/cultural responses to vaginal agenesis, how this affects family and other relationships, the medical community, decision-making, etc. I would enjoy discussing such things with other people with mrkh, to share and expand my own thinking, and possibly to participate in public education in some way. Thanks again, Trish |

To Trish
I noticed that your address is newton mass. I live in boston. Email me privately at info@mrkh.org and I will give you my home phone number. I am 47 and know how learning that so much information being kept from you can really do a number on your psyche.....
